For Immediate Release
PRESS RELEASECALL FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPLICATIONS
Prescott-Russell (Ontario), 2 September 2025, This is an exciting time for the Prescott-Russell region with the creation of a non-profit organization aimed at supporting the 2SLGBTQ+ community in the area. Building on the work already done by the Prescott-Russell LGBTQ+ and Allies Group, a new structure is being created to ensure the sustainability of support and advocacy efforts. The Group is looking for inspiring and collaborative individuals to join its board of directors.
The Group is seeking candidates with experience in advocacy, law, communications, finance, or community engagement. Priority will be given to 2SLGBTQ+ individuals and their allies, as well as those with governance experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to the organization's mission.
"After several years of hard work, the creation of this non-profit organization is the culmination of the efforts of many volunteers and local partners. It is a logical and essential step to further support the community in its journey. I am excited to recruit motivated individuals to join the very first board of directors," said Martin Hébert, Community Health Worker at CSCE and responsible for supporting the group in this project.
The board of directors aims to reflect the populations we serve, welcoming the diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences present throughout the Prescott-Russell region. Visit our website for all the details and to submit your application.
If you are interested in serving on our board of directors, we invite you to visit our website to submit your application.
